The reports and threats of terrorism concern all of us. But you need not panic; you can take an active role in protecting yourself. You may be thinking, "But, what can I as an individual do? To protect myself? To protect my loved ones? And to help to protect my community?" It is important that community members understand how terrorism threatens the United States. It is also important that while participating in the defense against terrorism, we avoid making mistakes based on prejudice and misinformation. |
